- Mark your calendars for UCC:One, which will be on October 2 in City Park at 10:30, and plan to bring a friend! We'll have fun activities for all ages and will hold one worship service. Lunch will be provided as well! We hope to see you (and a friend) there as we enjoy worshipping as one body of Christ.
- We LOVE to celebrate our amazing volunteers. If you have something great to share or a praise of how God is working in your life, I'd love to hear about it! On the reverse side, if you are needing prayers, please let me know. I'd love to be praying specifically for any needs you might have. We are better together!
OVERVIEW: Our Bible story today is about a man named Moses. Moses had a big job. He was the leader of God’s people. There was a big problem, though. No matter what Moses did, God’s people would whine and complain. They wanted food, so Moses talked to God, and God gave them food. They wanted water, so Moses talked to God, and God gave them water. And they still whined and complained! This made Moses very frustrated! But Moses knew God loved him, so he prayed and talked to God about everything. Moses trusted God with all his heart and told God everything that he was feeling. God listened to Moses and gave him people to help because God loved him no matter what. Moses knew he could always talk to God about everything because God loved him. We can always talk to God about everything, too, because God loves you and [Bottom Line] God loves me no matter what!
DEVOTIONAL: Can you think of a time this week when you were super frustrated? Maybe it happened on the way to church, trying to get everyone out the door on time! Moses was frustrated with the constant whining and complaining of the Israelites. Just like he did with Moses, God is with us through our moments of frustration. He will help us choose patience as we respond to situations beyond our control. Let’s teach our preschoolers that it’s okay to be frustrated but to remember to love others just as God loves us. After all, He doesn’t cast us aside when we mess up. He doesn’t get so frustrated with us that He walks away. He loves us, no matter what we’re feeling. Who loves you no matter what? [Bottom Line] God loves me no matter what.
