\We hope you are enjoying your time on the ranch.
It has become necessary for us to move some cattle tomorrow, September 14. We will be using Old Stage Road as a travel corridor for this operation.
Please see the map below. The closure includes Old Stage Road from the Willow Creek Gate to Spring Ranch Road.
The roads marked in red on the map are closed to all RCCC recreational traffic from 5:30AM until 2:00PM on Wednesday, September 14 to help make this operation as smooth as possible and as stress free on the cattle as possible.
If you are on property now, we thank you for your patience in advance. If you have guests here, please share with them that this means no side by side, UTV, ATV, motorcycle or passenger vehicle traffic. We apologize for the inconvenience. It won't be for long. Once in a while, it is required to keep the herd healthy, the range in good condition and our members and guests safe.
If you ever do find yourself coming upon a cattle drive operation, please be safe. The safest thing to do is to pull over to the side of the road, and let the cattle pass. Just stop and wait for the cattle to pass.
If you are driving down a county road and come up behind a cattle drive, which is very common in Montana, just be patient. Follow behind from 300 feet, which is about a football field, and wait. Enjoy the scenery of the Last Best Place. While you are waiting, keep your eyes open as someone on the cattle drive may wave you by.
