Autumn on the Lochrin Belle 💜

It's a busy Autumn for the Lochrin Belle!

We have had a summer full of Edinburgh Arts Festival trips, Gin Cruises and private hires, all of which bring many different types of people to the canal and allows them to experience a unique perspective on our city. These events also help us earn income to keep the boat afloat!

This Autumn we are focusing on Community Trips and see the re-starting of our partnership with NHS Royal Edinburgh Hospital and a number of FREE and paid for ticketed events open to everyone.

We are also holding some special FREE events to celebrate various international days:

Thurs 22nd September - World Car Free Day - 12.30-3.30pm. Come down to the towpath near the Leamington Liftbridge to find out how you can travel more sustainably and hop on the Lochrin Belle for a free trip to or from Harrison Park. More details to follow on our social media channels.

Fri 7th and Sat 8th October - World Mental Health Day - 1pm and 2.30pm. Take part in one of our Mindfulness Cruises - a free one hour cruise and reflect on how the canal can help us all to have More Good Days. Booking is essential - please click here.

Flotilla of Lights - Sat 5th November. Save the date and come down to the canal near you to watch the annual procession of boats, this year marking the 200th anniversary of the opening of the Union Canal (current ETAs: Harrison Park, 6.30pm and Edinburgh Quay 7pm).
