YOUR INFLUENCE MATTERS

Good Morning Dear Friends!
There are over 5,000 people following me on Facebook and that means people from over 5,000 different backgrounds and experiences. That’s amazing to think of.
I was sitting here drinking my morning coffee and thinking of and praying for those that I know who are even now in life altering circumstances.
I’m so thankful for those of you who have prayed for me and my family. It has meant so very much to me. I know there are times your prayers have kept me alive. Thank you! You are important to me!
We - you and me and others on here - are family, you know. Whether blood related or not.
(48) Jesus said, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” (49) Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. (50) For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Matt. 12:48-50)
In 1985 when I moved my little kids and I away from all of my blood relatives to the Carolinas, the Lord gave me the verse in Matt. 19:29:
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.”
I still have and love my blood relatives but truly He has also given to me family all across the country and even in other lands. I even have a couple of dear ones on here who are way over in Australia!
Through social media we can affect many people and many lives all over the world with just one word of encouragement. That happened all the more during Covid when we couldn’t leave our homes or even go to church.
I remember years ago when Bruce Wilkinson took one Bible verse, the prayer of Jabez, and formed a whole ministry of world wide encouragement around it.
“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” (1 Chronicles 4:10)
I looked it up and discovered that the average person influences approximately 10,000 to 80,000 people in their lifetime. That’s a lot!
Hence, the phrase ”Influencer” is being used to describe those who actively use their social media platforms to influence and affect others.
You are important in the scheme of things. You have the power to influence and encourage many people today. Not only on social media, but as you go about your day and take care of your business out in the world. And as you do, there’s a snowball effect through those people that also reaches others in their sphere of influence.
How will we each affect/influence our little corner of the world today? How will we be influenced by others? How will the power of our prayers affect the lives of others in our little corner of the world?
Your influence matters to more people than you realize. Thank you for being a positive influencer in my life with your love and prayers and friendship.
I pray your day is blessed in every way and that the angels of the Lord encamp around you and your family and keeps each one from all harm. May every need be met. May you also be a blessing and encouragement to all you affect.
