Special Events & Activities

Our Community Engagement Night (Thursday, September 15) will be super fun for all crocker families! It represents the official start of Hispanic Heritage Month. We will have a raffle drawing, student poetry and art, community performers, and food.

Bright Value Learner(s)

Our creative learners of the month had a blast during their breakfast celebration! It was well deserved and such a special time for them to spend together. Shout out to Ms. Bowie for ensuring that we had all of the supplies we needed to make it happen! Students received a continental breakfast, Raising Cane's gift certificate, yard sign, printed certificate, and YACS swag! Check them out!

This Week in Sports

Our LADY WILDCAT VOLLEYBALL team really did shine B.R.I.G.H.T. this past weekend! They took home a big win, with back-to-back game wins with scores of 8-25 and 12-25 for each respective game against Homer Plessy.

Staff Shout Outs

Ms. Courtney Slugher- K-4th Grade SPED: Thank you so much, Ms. Slugger, for all of your hard work and dedication in your classroom and on the volleyball court. You bring so much consistency and structure to your students’ educational experience. We appreciate the joy that your room exudes and the team you have fostered. Congrats!

Mr. Ronald Washington- Maintenance and Clean Team: We appreciate you for everything that you bring to Crocker, Mr. Ronald. You know the ins and outs of our building and bring a smile to so many faces. You have a great relationship with the students and are just one call away if anyone needs you. May you continue to work hard and shine B.R.I.G.H.T. in our school community!

Counseling Department Message

September is suicide prevention month. In addition to sharing information with staff, the Counseling Department will be sharing messaging with our learners and families. Check out the LA Mental Health Coalition resource below. If you have a concern about a learner and suicide, please reach out to a Counseling Department member right away. Here's our Threat of Suicide Protocol from the shared drive. Thank you for supporting our learners and their well-being!
