Trail Braking Camp Evolves
I have one year of teaching my new Trail Braking Camp under my belt. The first event took place at Americade 2021, including a student that traveled all the way from Michigan. Next, I held one close to home in which a rider flew 1000+ miles from Florida to attend! The last two courses were completed at the UN Rally in West Virginia, partly funded through one of the first, if not the first, BMW MOA Foundation "group grants."
What did I learn? Lots!
As a result of my inaugural year of Trail Braking Camps, there will be some exciting updates to the program. Here goes...
The new vision is a mixture of demo rides with skills coaching
The course is condensed down to the essentials, with the goal of teaching trail braking quickly and having fun
I've significantly reduced the time and money required to participate
Time down from a full day to 1 hour
Price down from $350 to a low $75
Instead of coaching only 4 people per day, I can now host up to 24
The obvious places to offer this new version of the course are rallies and large events where riders gather and want to sign up for an hour time slot, on one of the 4 fleet bikes, riding the course and getting 1-on-1 coaching. In order to be successful, I have to bring the camp to where the riders go. If you would like to invite me to your rally or other club event, contact me.
The full-day, 10-exercise course is still available, but I think this new model will be more appealing and accessible to motorcyclists and spread this essential technique to corner junkies everywhere.

Rally Perk Opportunity
I was recently asked by a friend to donate Cornering Confidence online course enrollments to the Jewish Motorcyclists Alliance's Ride to Remember event last month. The gathering this year supported the Butterfly Project. It was my pleasure to do so.
