Save the Date: Tour Historic Anacostia on November 6th!


Join DC Design Tours on Sunday, November 6th at 11:00 am for a walking tour of Historic Anacostia in partnership with The L'Enfant Trust and Best Address Group, LLC. The Trust's rehab projects in Anacostia will be featured as part of the tour, along with other architectural and cultural sites in Anacostia including Cedar Hill, Rose's and Italianate rows, and the "Big Chair".

Trust's HPRP Featured in HPO's Annual Report 
 

The Trust's Historic Properties Redevelopment Program in Anacostia was recently featured in the DC Historic Preservation Office, DC Office of Planning's 2021 Annual Report
"The L'Enfant Trust launched a rescue program for highly distressed historic properties. Acting as a non-profit developer...the Trust boosts community revitalization by returning these homes to moderate-income families."

Meet Our Graduate Intern


Liz Cohan is a Master of Arts in Historic Preservation student at Goucher College and is employed as an Environmental Specialist/Research Professional at Taylor Research Group. She has a decade of experience within the environmental consulting field and holds a Master of Science degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Kent and Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Richmond. Liz is interested in the intersection of the environmental conservation and historic preservation fields and identifying tools from both fields to conserve cultural and natural resources.

Liz is interested in learning about the Trust's Conservation Easement and Historic Properties Redevelopment programs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob, and two black cats, Luna and Leo, as well as swimming and exploring DC's museums and parks. The Trust is thrilled to have Liz on board this fall!
