This is a special editition of The Forestry Corner E-newsletter, a monthly collection of woodland-related events, resources and updates from OSU Extension for our neighbors in Marion, Clackamas and Hood River counties.
Tree School Field Day and feedback survey
Tree School Field Day - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN Saturday October 8, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for an outdoor Tree School Field Day at Hopkins Demonstration Forest! Registration is $25 per person with lunch included. Learn more and register to attend!
The day will include a variety of field classes and demonstrations. Each course will last around an hour, meaning you'll have many opportunities for learning at the Tree School Field Day!
Topics will likely include: tree thinning and pruning, masticator and fuels reduction, log merchandising, uneven-aged management, fire and defensible space, introduction to birds, bigleaf maple tapping, chainsaw use and maintenance, ponds for wildlife habitat, logging with a tractor and winch, and more. Please note this lineup may change prior to Tree School Field Day.
