Spring blossoms, edible berries, fall color.  We have nice large container plants, ready to make a statement in your landscape.  The fruits are tasty, like soft sweet blueberries.  Songbirds and small mammals also love them.  Flowers are valuable to various early season pollinators.  A great alternative to the invasive Callery Pear!  It blooms white at about the same time of year.

FALL PLANTING TIPS
  1. Plant as early in the fall as you can --especially for perennials and plants in smaller containers. This gives the plants time to root out and anchor themselves in to the soil.  Water well when planting.
  2. Mulch the root zones with an inch of mulch. This helps prevent heaving during the winter. Mulch should not touch the trunk of a tree or cover the crown of a perennial plant.
  3. Check periodically throughout the winter and gently push any heaved plants back into the soil. The roots balls of trees and shrubs are generally larger, and don't heave out as readily.
  4. Water in the spring, even before you see any leaves pushing growth. If there was not a lot of snow cover through the winter, they will need moisture to break dormancy.
