Meet the author of the bestselling Ella and Olivia & Puppy Diary series as she shares her creative writing tips and tricks with you. Yvette is an experienced secondary English teacher who loves sharing her knowledge and experience with children.

Would you like to learn about the largest animals on the planet?
Come and join us to explore the world of these magnificent sea creatures, through stories, games and craft. Suitable for children in school years K-2.

Get out and active with Sydney Thunder Cricket! Hit some runs with the players in the park as you practice your cricket skills then head into the library for some super sports stories. Suitable for children in school years K-3.

Does your child have trouble finding the just-right story for them? Let us take the guess work out as your child sits back and listens as we read the first chapter of a specially selected book aloud. We will workshop predictions for the story ahead and then each child will get to borrow a copy of the book to continue reading at home. We will meet up again to discuss our favourite parts of the story and share the reading experience with our new book buddies! Writing journals supplied. Suitable for chidlren in school years 3-4.

Get some serious study done! Castle Hill Library will be open exclusively for HSC students on Sundays for 3 weeks prior to the HSC.

Are your children curious about how the library really works? Join us for a fun and informative tour of Castle Hill Library to help you and your child find your way around the Library and see what happens behind the scenes! Suitable for children in school years K-3
The Year One Reading Club ends on Monday the 31st October!
The club is designed to help students improve their reading skills and develop their imaginations through literature. Children still have plenty of time to receive their stickers and rewards. By making regular visits to the library, reading becomes an enjoyable habit for children and helps build on the literacy skills developed in kindergarten.

Come along for some action-packed fun with stories, songs, and craft! Don’t forget to dress up in your favourite superhero costume. Suitable for children in school years K-2.
Showcase your child's creative talent!
Keep the Summer Reading Theme ‘Invent, Create, Imagine’ in mind and get going. Download the template and entry form from the library website or see staff to pick up a copy. Winning designs will be turned into bookmarks for the Summer Reading Adventure program. All winners will also receive a book pack valued at $100! Terms and conditions and age categories apply.
