September 17th: Family Health Fest
All are invited to this free event in Ft. Mellon Park hosted by the Florida Department of Health in Seminole County and SNAP Ed. Register for free giveaways. Walk-ups are welcome too! Guest Instructor SSgt Michael Eckert, Special 3 times American Ninja Warrior Contestant, Marine and Guinness World Record Holder will be in attendance and lead some of the demonstrations. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to gain educational resources and information from vendors, complete health risk screenings, enjoy dance lessons, food tastings, exercise demos, children’s activities and win prizes. Seeds of Paradise will be giving away 500 bags of produce to needy families! The first 300 guests will receive giveaways...

Friday, September 16th: The Sanford Shuffle is BACK!
Do you Shuffle? Bring a cooler of your favorite beverages and join us this every third Friday for some old-school Shuffleboard.
The courts open at 6:30 p.m. and the single-elimination tournament starts at 7 p.m. If you just want to have some fun, or you want to learn how to play, we’ll also have courts available for those who like to shuffle a little more casually.
The cost for The Sanford Shuffle is $5 per person...

Saturday, September 17th: Plant Sale at Sanford Community Garden
Mark your calendars!
The Sanford Community Garden is having a mini plant sale on Saturday, September 17th!
The sale will be from 8-10 am. We will have a Guest Speaker and seed exchange start at 10am, so feel free to stick around to learn her talk on 'Planning Your Fall Gardens'!

Sept. 17 – 9am to 5pm and Sept. 18 – 9am to 4pm. Vendors offering minerals, rocks, fossils, beads, gemstones, hand crafted cabochons and jewelry, etc. Activities: silent auction, door prizes, demonstrations, family activities and scavenger hunt.

Saturday, September 17th: Comic Central Presents: Batman Day 2022
Batman Day returns on Saturday Sept 17th, 2022. The annual day celebrates all things Batman! Join Comic Central for a special sale taking 20% off all Batman and Batman related trade paperbacks, hardcovers, action figures, statues, and back issues. We will also have a limited supply of a few different Batman comic books made just for Batman Day that we will be handing out free with purchase.

Saturday, September 17th: Rocking Blues Concert comes to Sanford
Coming to Sanford and Central Florida a special blues concert event! Billboard chart topping blues/rock artist Alex Lopez and his talented band The Xpress perform a night of rocking British infused blues featuring his new ground-breaking album Nasty Crime. Special guest emerging blues talent and local music hero The David Julia Band. Two great bands one amazing show... And you are cordially invited to this night to remember! October 14th-16th: Hollerbach's Oktoberfest in Sanford!
Time to save the dates - 𝐃𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡'𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 𝐎𝐤𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭, our annual German party in beautiful Historic Downtown Sanford on Oktober 14th, 15th and 16th!
This indoor-outdoor festival at the 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 will feature authentic German food from Hollerbach’s German Restaurant and Market, German beer, wine, Schnapps and desserts, a Kids Zone presented by Ladies 327 of Sanford, and German-style entertainment including polka music, folk instruments, yodeling, and dancing in traditional costumes. This year we'll have two bandstands - one inside and one outdoors - and the King Guys Band and Sonnenschein Express will be returning with their traditional German folk music!
