Welcome to the Logan Zero newsletter!

October 2022 Edition

In this newsletter, we provide the latest updates on the campaign to end homelessness in Logan.

Making homelessness visible

Community data dashboard:
For the first time in Logan's history, a community homelessness data dashboard is now available on the Logan Zero website. The dashboard provides real-time information on households on the Logan By Name List entering the homelessness system and exiting through permanent housing solutions. It provides transparency on how the campaign is tracking towards the goal of making homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring.

Since the commencement of By Name List data in December 2021, campaign members have identified 343 households experiencing homelessness representing 565 people.

Track our progress
Use this dashboard to understand who is homeless in the region and how Logan Zero is progressing towards the goal. We advise you refer to the definitions and caveats prior to viewing the information.

Updated fact sheet - 115 Households surveyed:

The Logan Zero campaign has increased the data captured to 115 VI-SPDAT surveys for households experiencing homelessness on the Logan By Name List. In this update we spotlight health issues experienced by people experiencing homelessness in the region.

Campaign updates
Campaign members:

We would like to welcome and acknowledge members and supporters of the campaign who are contributing to the By Name List data or Logan Zero advocacy:

Advocacy:

Through data collection, it was identified that an average of 77% of homeless households on the By Name List did not have a case manager to assist with navigating the homelessness system.

With the Logan By Name List data, campaign members have been continuing to advocate for homeless outreach workers in the region to Logan City Council and state government bodies.
