What a great week we had at Pemetic!
Open House was a huge success with many families sharing their appreciation for inviting them back into the school and for having the ability to meet others in the community. The Darling Ice Cream truck was busy providing ice cream for everyone who attended.
The Buddy Hike happened today for the first time in three years. Everyone had a great time. Students enjoyed their time at the beach, the nature hike, having time to play at Smuggler's Den Campground playground, and the picnic at school. At the end of the picnic, everyone enjoyed an ice pop.
Building community is a goal we will achieve this year.

Breakfast and lunch are being served daily. Mr. Pappas is providing excellent food that is very tasty and healthy. If your child brings a cold lunch and would like an item from the fruit/veggie cart, they will need to take a fruit, veggie, and a cheese stick. We want everyone to have a healthy lunch. We just need to follow the state guidelines. Have a great weekend!
The Learning Lab will be opening for 4th-8th graders Monday September 12th at 7:30am, students must sign up at the front door.

The MDI Community Sailing Center will be offering an after school sailing team for students in grades 7-12. Some experience is preferred but participation of beginners will be possible depending on the number of participants.
After school practices will begin on September 6th Please email info@mdisailing.org for further details.
