We pray for the repose of the soul of Mary Hildreth Chassey, who passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Please keep their family and all who mourn in your prayers.

Mary was the spouse of our former Canon to the Ordinary, the Rev. George Chassey; he retired from that position in 1989. Together, Mary and her husband lived at Still Hopes Retirement community until his death in July 2021. 

A member of Grace Church Cathedral, Charleston, Mary's funeral liturgy, open to the public, will be held there on Saturday, September 17, at 2:00 p.m. A reception in Hanahan Hall will follow the service.

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant Mary. Acknowledge her, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive her into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.
 
May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
