This e-newsletter is designed to provide information regarding city programs and services, and those of its agency partners. The Littleton City Council and staff encourage supporting Littleton businesses and community programs.

Calendar Photo Contest Deadline September 23

Time is running out to submit photos for the annual calendar photo contest! Winners will see their photos included in the 2023 Littleton Calendar and Annual Report, distributed citywide in December.

Each photographer may submit up to five photos. Winners receive $25, 10 calendars, and publicity via news releases and distribution of approximately 7,500 calendars to the community.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 23.

Support Colorado Center for the Blind at the 6 Dot Dash
Come run with the Colorado Center for the Blind during the 6 Dot Dash 5k race on Saturday, September 10.

The 6 Dot Dash is an annual 5k run to raise awareness and funds for the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado and the Colorado Center for the Blind. Support helps provide Braille literacy and blindness skills training, scholarships for deserving blind students, summer camps for blind children, and more.

Household HazMat Roundup Returns
Looking to get rid of hazardous waste materials like used motor oil, lawn and garden chemicals, or electronic devices? The next Household HazMat Roundup & Electronics Recycling Event is coming up!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the dates of the Household HazMat Roundup have been changed. The September 10 date is canceled, and a new date has been added. Here's the new schedule:

Saturday, September 17, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, September 24, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Where: Englewood Service Center, 2800 South Platte River Drive in Englewood (on the east side of the South Platte River).

Materials recycling is available to residents of the City of Littleton, Englewood, Sheridan, and Columbine Valley only. Equipment/office recycling is available to both residents and businesses. Proof of residency is required.

2022 Business Survey Open

Littleton business owners or managers are invited to complete the 2022 Business Survey to help the City of Littleton better understand what services are most important to businesses. The surveys have been held every two years since 2012, and results are used to better align city services and programs with the needs of local business. The survey will stay open through Monday, September 26.

The Legendary Ladies present Extraordinary Women of the West
The Legendary Ladies return to Bemis to portray six women who challenged conventions, pushed boundaries, and lived extraordinary lives. For all ages. Saturday, September 10 from 2 to 3 p.m.

LEGO Club
Design and construct LEGO creations. Build from a theme or use imagination to make a brand-new creation. For ages 8 to 14. Saturday, September 10 from 3 to 4 p.m.

Banned Books Craft
Celebrate the freedom to read with a t-shirt of a banned book, buttons featuring words that someone doesn't want read, and other crafts that stand against censorship. For ages 10 and up. Saturday, September 17 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Program Manager
The City of Littleton's Public Works Department is seeking a Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Program Manager. The CIP Manager directs, manages, and oversees the city's engineering functions related to capital improvement projects. They lead the planning, budgeting, and processes related to these functions and provide highly responsible and complex professional-level administrative support to the city engineer.

Seasonal Worker (Grounds/Forestry)
The City of Littleton is seeking energetic individuals who enjoy working outdoors to join the Grounds and Forestry crew as a Seasonal Worker. This is a great way to get to know the Littleton team and make connections for future opportunities.

Streets Operations Manager
The City of Littleton is looking for a Streets Operations Manager who will be responsible for the Streets Maintenance Division within the Public Works Department. This responsibility includes the construction, repair, and maintenance of city streets including snow/ice removal operations.
