*SEMINAR DATE CHANGE: FRIDAY 30 SEPTEMBER*
Topic: Defining the changes associated with cancer risk in order to develop preventative therapies.
Kara will talk through the rising incidence of breast cancer and the changes in society that might be driving this. Breast cancer development can be driven by genomic or non-genomic risk factors, with the non-genomic risk factors driving ER+ or hormonally driven breast cancer.
Through studying the impact of breast cancer risk modulators on the breast we can begin to develop more tailored prevention therapies to inhibit the earliest stages of tumour formation. The goal is to develop effective and well tolerated therapies that can offer an alternative to broad spectrum estrogen suppression or drastic surgery.
This event will be held online via Zoom. Registrations essential.
