The Kenyan elections are over and schools have reopened. Life is back to normal for the Kenyan students and partners of Education Care Projects Kenya.
ECPK funds a program which provides vacation care during the holidays and sends a carer to visit students during terms to check on their wellbeing and engagement in school. The carer also checks in with teachers when necessary.
We aim to provide our students with the best education so they can earn an income for themselves and their families. One of our girls was enrolled in a cooking course to prepare her for a job in tourism (in the red dress, below).
One of our University students has completed his class work and has to wait until November to graduate. We have enrolled him in a driving school to get his licence with the hope that it will improve his chances of getting a job.
