On Friday 16th September we held the 11th Annual 50 Year Members' Luncheon, sponsored by Tuckers Funeral & Bereavement Service, celebrating Members who have been with the Royal Geelong Yacht Club continuously for 50 years or more. It was a wonderful afternoon.
Thank you to our keynote Guest Speaker, Christine Couzens MP, Member for Geelong. Long- standing member Jack Anderson (97 years of age) was interviewed by the Luncheon MC, Honorary Life Member Tony Bull.

We have 55 Fifty Year members, with Mark Crouch (pictured) being welcomed by Commodore Roger Bennett into the 50 year membership category at the luncheon.
Community Open Day a Great Success
Sunday 11th September saw a good crowd of potential new sailors and members exploring the club, showing plenty of interest in both OTB and Keelboat sailing, as well as our Tackers & Cadet Programs, as part of our Community Open Day.

Sunday also featured the launch of the Sassy Sailing Sisters program. The five-month Sassy Sailing Sisters program aims to introduce and develop sailing skills to female participants, as well as a number of disadvantaged Geelong community members.
