Church Family,
Time flies when you are having fun!
Wow! What an incredible five years we have had together! We have seen God do some incredible things! It hasn’t always been easy, but time and time again, God has proven himself to be faithful! In fact, consider a few of the things we have seen God do over the last five years…
- We’ve walked through a pandemic together…
- We’ve said goodbye to dear brothers and sisters.
- We’ve grown in worship attendance and weekly guests.
- We’ve sent short-term and mid-term mission teams to East Asia, North Africa, Cambodia, Mexico, and New Mexico.
- We’ve increased our small group discipleship ministry.
- We’ve mobilized our body to serve our community through prayer walks, Night of the Lights, drive-in movie nights, block parties, etc.
- We’ve gone from budget deficits to budget surpluses.
- We’ve paid off over $1 million in debt.
- We’ve increased global missions giving and formed new global partners.
- We’ve renovated the HUB & Children’s Building.
- We’ve replaced or repaired roofs on the Children’s Building, Worship Center, and HUB.
- We've replaced the chiller in Worship Center.
- We’ve established corporate rhythms of prayer, a global heart for mission, and encouraged a personal passion for God’s Word.
- We’ve reshaped our staff roles and watched as God moved and repositioned us in healthy ways.
I praise God for His faithful work in the life of our faith family. Thank you for the way that you have loved our family. It is such a joy to serve beside you! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for the next five years!

Celebrating Chris Sammons 5 year anniversary as our senior pastor. Chris and Hollie started their ministry with us on September 7, 2017. You are invited to participate in a Pot Luck lunch in the HUB at noon this Sunday, September 18. We encourage you to bring a meat dish, vegetable and a salad or dessert. We have had requests from many of our FBC Hewitt faith family for a picture directory of our members. We have the ability to create a Church Directory of our members through Shelby On-line.
We are working on this project and need a picture of you, your spouse & your children that are part of our faith family.
If you are a member of Shelby On-Line Directory, you may upload a picture and view your information (name, address, phone, email) and information for everyone that has joined Shelby Directory on-line.
Sunday afternoon during our pot luck/celebration time, your information for you to review will be setup in the office area of the Hub. Someone will also be available to take a "snap shot" of you / your family. We ask that you check your name, address, phone # and email and make corrections if needed. We will provide labels for you to make corrections and place by your name.
This Pictorial Church Directory is a great way to connect names and faces within our church family which in turn, will be a tremendous way to connect on a more personal level.

LIFE GROUPS ARE LAUNCHING THIS WEEK!
At First Hewitt, we truly believe that life is better together. One of the ways that we seek to live this out is through our Life Group Ministry. Life Groups are small groups that meet weekly in homes for the purpose of fellowship, spiritual formation, and prayer. We have 8 different groups that meet at different times and places. This is a perfect time to find a group and get plugged in!
