Claim Your #FOISummit22 Spot Today!

You subscribe to this newsletter because you understand the importance of government transparency.

Unlock next-level understanding by registering for the 2022 FOI Summit, sponsored by Bloomberg LP, online Oct. 18-20.

Key sessions include:

  • Real people, real stories: When loved ones seek answers, they turn to FOI.
  • Disappearing messaging apps: The impact on public records laws, records management, and policy.
  • The public's right to know: Does accurate information reduce political polarization?
  • Hear from media lawyers, discussing trends in open government litigation. Join a training session or two. Network with other FOI aficionados.

Registration — $25 for NFOIC members, $30 for non-members — includes admittance to live sessions plus recordings of most sessions for six months. Groups of 10 or more attendees save 20% off the ticket price — a fine incentive to invite your entire classroom, newsroom, or firm.

Want to meet journalists, media lawyers, social impact tech developers, government officials, and other FOI nerds? We’ve got you covered! This year at #FOISummit22, tune in to our networking social hour, where you can meet new people in your field and discuss all things — especially FOI.

Tom Verdin, Democracy News Editor for the Associated Press, will host our #JournalismNetworking session. Don’t miss your chance to have a roundtable discussion with one of the top journalists in the game. #FOISummit22 has so much more!

Be an FOI Sponsor or Vendor!
Each year, NFOIC’s FOI Summit highlights insights, perspectives, and practical tips from transparency leaders, experts, and practitioners. Our 2021 summit reached over 300 requesters, custodians, and decision-makers, and it promoted a diverse and inclusive lineup of speakers, with 72 journalists, nonprofit leaders, scholars, advocates, attorneys, and government employees as panelists.

Research shows open government makes for a better government. As a sponsor or vendor at the FOI Summit, you will help us reach a more prominent and broader audience. You've worked hard to innovate, develop, emerge, and grow. Showcase your services and solutions to the greater FOI community by reserving gallery space at this year's Summit.

With your help, we can create enlightening programming, recruit groundbreaking speakers, and engage more civic-minded people.  By supporting us, your organization shows the world that it understands this reality: Without government transparency, democracy crumbles.
