LEJ is a small business incubator for lawyers to establish socially conscious law practices.  These lawyers develop market-based solutions to serve moderate-income Coloradans.

Central to the project is developing innovative service models that maximize technology, leverage existing referral networks, and feature attorney-client collaboration and à la carte service offerings.

Lawyers participating in LEJ are also committed to:

• Collaborating with fellow LEJ participants and other LEJ partner entities.

• Actively participating in efforts to improve the profession, the practice of law and the larger justice system.

• Developing economically sustainable and replicable delivery models for meeting the legal needs of the LEJ target market.

LEJ prepares talented and entrepreneurial lawyers in Colorado to launch and manage innovative, socially conscious, and sustainable law practices.  LEJ’s comprehensive training program focuses on building a new kind of practice that is more accessible and affordable to middle-income legal consumers. Participants establish or grow their own independent practices, handle cases in areas traditionally needed by middle-income legal consumers, and strive to offer flexible representation options and predictable fees.

LEJ’s in-house training focuses on the business side of launching and managing an innovative law practice.  Participants have access to top-notch training led by professionals from LEJ’s strong network of partners.

The training curriculum includes core innovation topics such as pricing services in a predictable, value-based fashion and effectively using technology tools to improve client engagement and efficiency. The curriculum also includes key business fundamentals such as customer service, business development, and effective communications.
