Join America’s Car Museum as we read Driven by Alex Davies. In this book, “Davies profiles the industry’s key players from the early enthusiasm of the DARPA days to their growing awareness that while this spin on artificial intelligence isn’t yet ready for rush-hour traffic, driverless cars are poised to remake how the world moves. Driven explores “the epic tale of competition and comradery, long odds and underdogs, all in service of a world-changing moonshot” (Andy Greenberg, author of Sandworm: A New Era of Cyberwar).
We are especially excited to announce that the author, Alex Davies, will be joining us for our discussion!
The discussion and Q & A will take place on Zoom, September 20th at 6pm.

Cider Swig! Greater Peninsula Cider Festival

It is officially fall! Events team is hosting the Cider Swig on Haub Field and you don't want to miss this event which features PNW ciders, live music, amazing food and more! It's all for a good cause! Proceeds go to Windsor Lu Environmental grants which benefit local schools and more! Contacts for this event are Ann, Melissa and Brian. They expect around 3000 people!!!!

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is an American transportation and logistics company. It was founded by Johnnie Bryan Hunt and Johnelle Hunt in 1961. By 1983, J.B. Hunt had grown into the 80th largest trucking firm in the U.S. ! Events team are excited to host them and could use some help! They expect about 350 guests and since it is "after hours" we have quite a few slots.
Speed Zone (2 needed) 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Photo Car (2 needed) 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm or 7:00 pm - 9: 30 pm
Collection Monitors (3 needed) 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm (2) & 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

"Wigged Out Ride" Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness

8:30 am - 10:30 am
This fun charity motorcycle ride kicks off at LeMay ACM this year and is co-founded by our own employee Sue Scanlon. All proceeds benefit free wig services at CHI Franciscan Breast Centers in Federal Way and Gig Harbor. Over $ 10,000.00 has been raised to date! Sue Scanlon is your contact for this event . She especially welcomes anyone to volunteer who's lives have been touched by Cancer and any Breast Cancer Survivors. Ideally we would have two volunteers for registering, collecting waivers, handing out wristbands etc.

SUV and Off Road Cruise-In

This Cruise-In is calling all SUVs and off-road vehicles old and new! Bring your ride , tell your fellow car enthusiasts and join us. Prizes, food and drink, membership upgrade specials, music and more! An SUV is not needed to participate. Membership is looking for a few volunteers to help! Run the Photo Car
Do you love making people smile? Do you love our Photo Car? This opportunity is for you! Guest Services is asking for a regular Volunteer to be at the Photo Car attraction. They are looking for a person or two who would like a consistent schedule. The hours would be Monday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm and weekends 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. - Collection Manager - ACM
- Membership Events Coordinator- AAT
- Security Officer (Part time) - ACM

Every 40 Hours = 2 Admission Passes to ACM

-Parking passes: No longer needed
-Travel Time: Include travel time in your logged volunteer hours because drive time is counted! We want to ensure that everyone's hours are properly logged and that you receive your total hours, including travel time. You earned it, Claim it!
