Join the Vice Chancellor's Student Advisory Committee (VCSAC)
  • The Student Advisory Committee to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (VCSAC) offers an exceptional opportunity for interested UC Berkeley students to provide advice, feedback, and ideas to Vice Chancellor Stephen C. Sutton, Ed.D. regarding student life and the co-curricular campus experience, and will help influence decisions concerning student services at Berkeley. Past meeting topics have included the crisis communications, student professional development and career opportunities, and housing needs and housing development.
  • Meetings will be held monthly from 5-7PM with dinner provided.
  • If interested, submit this brief form. The VCSAC will continue to accept applications on a rolling basis.

Parking & Transportation - Minor Advisory as of Thursday: Concert
  • Berkeley Law Lot and Underhill should be available. Please take note of any posted signs at lot entrances or specific spots.
  • Bowles is closed for a concert at the Greek Theatre.

Football Logistics
  • Kick-off is at 2:30PM so Piedmont Ave and Stadium Rim Way will likely be closed by noon.
  • Park in the Unex/Genetics Lot.
  • Please take public transportation or carpool.
  • It's Homecoming so campus will be buzzing (and wear your blue and gold)!
DAR Homecoming Events Sep 24
  • DAR will be holding Homecoming festivities in the Courtyard. Please avoid the Courtyard and enter Cheit and Chou via the 1st floors.
  • Coffee/breakfast/PM snack in Cafe Think area. Eat in foyer, common spaces, or classrooms.
  • Lunch in Spieker for Operations and Electives at 1PM. Eat in Spieker or on the Spieker balcony.
Class of 2025: Teams@Haas Check-in Sessions
  • Your Teams@Haas sessions will be working lunches at the following times and locations:
    • Oski: 12:15-2:00PM, N500, 5th Floor, Chou Hall
    • Axe: 1-2:45 pm, Wells Fargo Room C420, 4th Floor Cheit
  • We need your help to determine how many meals for each location (e.g. vegetarian vs not vegetarian). Please update your dietary preferences by Sunday Sep 18. 
  • If you are not vegetarian but want to try that option that day, please wait until everyone is through the line and let those who need a vegetarian meal get theirs first.

  • The EWMBA Association is excited to invite you to the 2022 Winter Gala “Holidays with Haas.”
  • The Winter Gala is a milestone in the Haas experience - and this year is set to be the largest gala in EWMBA history. They’re thrilled to announce this year’s event will be at the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District.
  • More details about the event to come over the next few weeks, but for now, save the date! Make a dinner reservation with your friends, rent that tux, splurge on that sequined gown, and get ready for a night of celebrating with the Haas community.
    • Price: $120 at Early Bird per person which includes 2 drink tickets, hors d’oeuvres, dancing, photobooth, and much more. Early Bird tickets will go on sale on Monday Sep 26.

Strawberry Creek Ventures

What do they offer?
Strawberry Creek Ventures is a community of accredited UC Berkeley alums who pool money into a VC fund every year to invest in UC Berkeley connected companies. They have a diverse portfolio of companies, and co-invest with leading VC funds across industry, stage, and geography. To date, Strawberry Creek has invested in over 100 high-growth startups, has 400+ alumni investors, and has grown to a community of 32K+ alumni and friends. Some of their notable investments include Casper, Queenly (co-investor: a16z), and Lacework (co-investor: Tiger Global).

Whom does it benefit?
Students/alumni interested in VC; Early-stage Berkeley startups looking to raise funds.

This learning lab will give you a simple framework that helps you be more intentional, less transactional, and allow you to connect, get curious and be understood.

  • This is the first workshop of a three part storytelling workshop. In this workshop, we will identify elements that make a great intro story that helps others engage you in a conversation.

Story 3: Engaging Behavioral Stories

  • In this workshop, we will: 
    • Take those understandable stories and add in elements that make them more engaging and memorable-stand out in a good way.
    • Learn, apply and practice good structure to translate your experiences into understandable stories: less noise, more signal!
    • Learn how to shape your stories to make them more relevant and appealing to influencers and hiring managers-be interesting to them, not everyone.
