SEPTEMBER 2022
The research is pretty overwhelming in terms of the correlation between high school students who are involved in a high school sport or activity versus those who are not. Students who are involved are more likely to graduate, more likely to go to college, more likely to have better grades, less likely to get into trouble and less likely to suffer from depression. Therefore our primary mission as an organization is to encourage and support every single student who wants to be a part of something at Reservoir.

A warm Reservoir Boosters welcome to the 2022-23 school year!

We look forward to working with you in the months to come to ensure our students and athletes get the most out of their high school experience.

Fall sports are underway and in order to provide all the incredible programs to Reservoir students and staff that we do, we need the help of parent volunteers. Concessions and spirit wear sales are an important part of RHS home sporting events and require parent, guardian, aunt, uncle or grandparent involvement. These volunteer opportunities require no experience and any individual 18+ can volunteer. We will NEVER ask you to miss any portion of your athlete's game.

  • Varsity parents will volunteer during the JV games.
  • JV parents will volunteer during the Varsity games.
  • Volleyball: Freshman parents volunteer for Varsity; JV parents volunteer for Freshman; and Varsity parents volunteer for JV.

You do not have to have a student on the team to volunteer and we need the most help at home football games. Thank you for helping!

Our Volunteer Sign Up Form for Fall 2022 is live and can be found here. You can toggle between list view (sorts by event types) and calendar view (sorts by dates). Check it out on a desktop for optimal viewing.

We have a lot of great new committees and volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year but still need more! If you are interested in getting more involved with Boosters, please check out positions that are still open here:

Julyana Medina, Senior, Midfield

Jules has played on the girls varsity soccer team since her freshman year. After two years, she came into her junior season ready and determined to show everyone what a presence she can truly have on the field. Playing in the 6 position of a defensive center mid she helped her team defend against the top players in the county. This season she continues to build upon last season and be a top player in the county while leading her team along the way with her fellow captains.

Since freshman year Jules has been involved in other sports and clubs. She’s been on both the indoor track and girls lacrosse teams during her time at Reservoir, and the Spanish National Honor Society, as well as the National Honor Society. She also continues to work hard in the classroom as she holds a 4.29 weighted GPA.

Brandon Basilio, Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach

Coach Basilio was born and raised in Anne Arundel County where he played soccer with many of the club teams in the area.  While playing college ball, he got his start coaching for a local Catonsville club team that accepted him with open arms.  Once he graduated from Towson University, his passion for soccer and coaching youth sports guided him to continue coaching within Anne Arundel County.

After winning a regional championship at Arundel High School, he decided to move out to Howard County to continue coaching with Baltimore Armour, Soccer Association of Columbia, and Centennial High School. After finishing two seasons at Centennial, Coach Basilio left to join Reservoir for the first time, excited to try his hand at taking over the Reservoir girls' program. Working with age groups ranging from U9 to U17 in the club setting molded the coaching style that Coach Basilio shows now on the field. He is excited to see how far the team will develop in the coming years and hopes to influence the program for the better.

Active Minds is a student led group that focuses on mental health awareness, education, and advocacy.  Through school wide activities and events, Active Minds focuses on building connections and school community. Events aim at reducing social isolation and the stigma associated with mental health and include community outreach to Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, HopeWorks, AFSP, NAMI and other organizations.  We look forward to our therapy dog visits, Stress Less Week during midterms, and many more engaging opportunities throughout the year.
