Pastor’s Note
“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to scriptures,” Paul writes to the church of Corinth and to us in I Corinthians 15:3-4. A truth many of us need to be reminded of and to remember so we can share it with others. It is this simple message, these simple truths, the Good News of God's Gospel, that bring us life and joy, peace and tranquility, and hope and endurance. We live in a day and age where it seems that we are always asking: can we trust these words, this person or that person? Can we trust what is being shared with us on the tv or on our social media news feeds?
But this message has never changed and it has been testified to throughout history as true and fact. Yet many times we discard it or forget it as we live life. Christian brothers and sisters, we need to be reminded and built on that which is of utmost importance: the truth of Christ's death, burial and resurrection. It is the only truth that will provide help in these times. So let us, as Paul states in the first verse of that chapter, be reminded of that which we have received and have taken a stand that saved us and holds us if we firmly hold to it by faith. No matter how difficult it gets, or what is said around us, this truth will never change and never be shaken. So let us hold to it and by faith manifest it in our lives and through our lives that others may find the very same hope from the Gospel we have.
I pray this will encourage and strengthen you in the coming days to stand tall and be brave no matter what you may hear or see, for if Christ arose and ascended, He is returning. Let us live looking forward to that day.
In His Arms,
Pastor Ari
