The Taizé Community is an ecumenical Christian monastic fraternity in Taizé, Saône-et-Loire, Burgundy, France. It is composed of more than one hundred brothers, from Catholic and Protestant traditions, who originate from about thirty countries around the world.
Taizé Prayer is filled with song, scripture and silent meditation. This ecumenical form of prayer is modeled on the style as practiced in the Taizé Community in France. Those who attend regularly find a profound peace and tranquility in this style of prayer. Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith tradition.
The 2022 Dana Open is now history. So, too, is our LPGA Parking Project. The tournament was a little different this year. Change to a much later date. Speeded up play. Happened over a holiday weekend. Obviously those changes affected our parking project.
Here are a few things you ought to know about this year’s Parking Project:
• 73 people filled 115 slots (an increase of 40% over last year).
• All slots were filled and we even had a short waiting list of volunteers.
• Our volunteers enjoyed great fellowship and camaraderie with each other.
• Even more, our volunteers reflected the face and voice of God to all our customers. They created a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere across our grounds.
• Once again our Parking Project was profitable for our church -
◦ Net parking total - $15,318
◦ Rental fees from tournament - $5,000
◦ Golf Channel fees - $2,500 (both of these negotiated by Jeff Crandall)
◦ Total net income for our church - $22,818!
