‘Create for Christmas!’ Half term Activity Week - HELP needed
We are planning to run sessions each morning during half term for all ages (1-101) offering a variety of creative, musical and physical activities at Shiplake Church. We are seeking volunteers to offer a few hours of help, giving those attending the opportunity to make some really lovely presents and learn new craft skills, as well as experiencing dance, music, baking and more. No experience is necessary, leaders will run the sessions.
We are still putting the timetable together but if you can help, please contact Jo Taylor by email or on 07985 703126 so we know we have sufficient support for this to be viable. Volunteering times will be 9.30 - 12.30 as the sessions will run from 10 - noon Monday to Friday 24th - 28th October.
Many thanks. Jo, Wendy, Pam and Sarah

‘‘Thank You’’ from the Henley YMCA/YoCO
On Saturday 27th August some of the Henley YMCA residents ran a fundraising stall at the Binfield Flower and Dog Show, in collaboration with another Charity, Youth Challenge Oxfordshire.
The young residents send their huge thanks to all St. Margaret’s congregation members who so kindly donated their unused gift items to become prizes for their Spin the Wheel ‘Golden Touch’ game that raised £174.00 on the field and has been ‘match funded’ by a private Foundation so the total raised currently stands at £374.00!!
Bless you for your generosity and kindness

Join us to ring
Our handchimes group is open for the students of Year 2 or above. The children will have the opportunity to learn simple tunes, increase their musical knowledge, learn how to work as a team but, most of all, have a lot of fun.
We are holding a weekly rehearsal each Friday at 4:30-5:30, starting from 9 September 2022, in The Ark (behind Shiplake Church). There are a limited number of places available; to ensure a place, please email me your child’s name and year group, and your name and contact number.
Thank you. Helen Lam

Parking at Harpsden Church
Our neighbours on both sides of Harpsden Church have politely asked again that we do not park on the roadside outside the church on either side please. We have very kindly been given use of the car park opposite, please do use it if you possibly can.
Many thanks for your co-operation.
