"Whenever someone asks me what I do for a living and I tell them I am a beekeeper, 90% of the time I get one of three responses:

1. “ A bookkeeper? Cool.” And then a quick change of the subject.
2. “How many times have you been stung?” or “Wow-have you ever been stung?” 
3. “Hmm..so, is that, like, what your family does?”

FREE Seed Swap on September 23 at the Honey Ranch! 

This month's Ask a Beek Happy Hour combines with a Seed Swap for what is sure to be a fun and informative experience! 

Fall is a great time to begin to plan for Spring blooms! To help you out we are teaming up with Central Texas Seed Swappers and hosting our first ever Seed Swap event! This is an opportunity to get new seeds for your garden at no cost and to share what seeds you have with others.

This event is FREE, but because it is space-limited we are charging $10 to RSVP which will be issued as a credit in our Honey Bar & Gift Shop. Also, bring your bee and beekeeping questions!

Drinks start at 5, and the seed swapping will begin at 5:30pm! Bring your seeds to share. Don't have seeds? Don't worry! We will have plenty and this is the place to get your seed saving started!
