It is going to be a great semester at Ignite!
This email is packed with super helpful information so please look over it all!
Ignite meets weekly on Sunday and Wednesday nights. Sunday nights are our more typical youth programming with dinner, games, and a lesson. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights of the month, we will attend the contemporary worship service from 5-6pm as part of our programming. This is in order for our youth to have a chance to worship together. Following we will have dinner, games, and a shorter lesson from 6-7pm. I am really excited for us to take part in contemporary worship.
On Wednesday nights we will meet from 6-7pm after Wednesday Night Supper (5-6pm) in a small group setting. This will be a chance for us to check in with the youth about their week and have a more conversational group lesson.
As our youth group continues to grow, I want to offer text reminders as a new form of communication. Right now there are two group chats (one for parents and one for youth) but it requires you to have an iPhone to join. Text reminders will be a more streamlined way for me to mass communicate with everyone. I encourage parents and youth to all join!
On Sunday, September 25th we have a special joint event at BIG TIME in Oxford with Heflin FUMC's youth group. We will bowl, play games, and eat pizza. You can also bring extra money for the arcade games if you'd like to.
This will take the place of normal youth group that night. No need to register. Simply show up at Big Time.
Price: $20. Payment options include cash or check (turn into Emma) OR use the link below to pay online.
If you need financial assistance to come please let me know. I do not want money to be the reason a youth cannot attend.
