Sheepgate Under 25 Championships 2022
Sheepgate celebrate 25 years as Lincolnshire’s family run dressage centre in 2022. 6 days of competition, 680 tests, 1082 test sheets added, 28 judges and a huge number of volunteers to support it.
The highlight of Team Sheepgate’s year is always the Under 25’s Championships and 2022 was no exception. After missing 2020 due to the pandemic, last year saw a revised schedule and this year’s increase in numbers confirmed this show really offers something for everyone. Classes range from Intro right up to Grand Prix and freestyle to music at all levels too. The youngest competitor was 7 years old with many seasoned campaigners enjoying the under 25’s experience at Sheepgate during their last year of eligibility. Well worth the journey has been Sheepgate’s motto for many years and competitors travel from far and wide, including a strong contingency from Scotland as well as visitors from the Isle of Man.
There has been a real family feel about the show this year with many camping for the duration and bringing siblings too, similarly just an overnight stay has offered a variety of classes for two days. The Sheepgate Team were delighted to see so many new combinations this year as well as familiar faces. This year has definitely seen some stars of the future developing their competitive successes
