For at least 20 years, Teresa has been a weekly visitor to the library and we love seeing her smiling face come through the door. She is an avid fan of the Royal family, borrowing nearly 3000 items on a regular rotation, all about Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family.
Teresa emulates the Queen in her fashion style and holds a wealth of knowledge about the Queen, especially Her Majesty's grandchildren.
We recently wrote a letter to Her Majesty on behalf of Teresa and were so excited to receive a reply from Balmoral Castle several weeks ago. The gift takes on an added poignancy with the recent passing of the Queen. Included with the letter was a Royal souvenir from the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and we sourced a copy of The Queen magazine for Teresa to keep.
When asked about her favourite thing about visiting the library, Teresa said it was the staff and that she likes all of us! She always likes to come to the library, along with going shopping.
Teresa told us that she will miss the Queen, her favourite Royal, but she likes the whole Royal Family.

We need YOUR stories! The City of Albany is partnering with THEATRE 180 to deliver a story capturing project ahead of the 2026 Albany Bicentenary.
We know Albany’s heritage is rich and deeply rooted in our military history, maritime traditions, and Menang Noongar culture. This means we also know there are many stories out there just waiting to be told.
The City of Albany and THEATRE 180 invite you to tell your story at one of the Group Reminiscence Sessions.
Register for one of our Reminiscence Sessions on Tuesday, 20 September or Wednesday, 21 September to share your story. To register, head to https://fal.cn/3rrOj
