New report: A comparison of different ways to implement the 70 percent rule

Nordic Energy Research has just published the report "A comparison of different ways to implement the 70 percent rule". The report has been conducted by Thema Consulting Group and focuses on that the legislation establishing the 70 percent rule provides little detail on how compliance should be assessed. ACER has subsequently published detailed methodological guidance and conducts monitoring. However, enforcement is primarily the responsibility of National Regulatory Authorities and there remain potentially important differences in national monitoring practices. The report presents and discusses three national variations of ACER’s methodology.

Workshop: Hydrogen, e-fuels and CCUS in a Nordic Context

Nordic Energy Research welcomes you to two days of workshops and site visits on September 26th – 27th in Fredericia, Denmark.

On behalf of the Government of Greenland, the Ministry for Agriculture, Self-Sufficiency, Energy and Environment and Nordic Energy Research invite stakeholders, researchers and other interested to the conference The green future of maritime operations
The conference takes place from October 4th to 6th in Nuuk. 
A successful green transition is heavily depending on the production and use of green fuels within the maritime industry.

New employee: Maj Dang Trong

Maj Dang Trong is one of the new employees at Nordic Energy Research. She has dedicated almost half her life to energy and environment – more than half if you only count her adult years. Maj has over 25 years of energy and environmental experience. She has worked as an independent consultant and as an economist for Econ Center for Economic Analysis based in Oslo. Before moving to Norway, she worked six years for the Danish Energy Agency with renewable energy and was a member of the electricity reform group.
