~ DisOrientation Week Highlight ~
On The Housing Crisis, Disparities, and Beyond
Tuesday 27th, 5:30-7pm
Keele campus, First Student Centre, room 402, and on Zoom
Register here.
A panel discussion presented by OPIRG York. Moderated by John Clarke with panelists from HOUSE, York South-Weston Tentant Union, and more!
This panel discussion will highlight the realities of the housing crisis with special attention to the way that the crisis reinforces ongoing disparities, particularly for marginalized folks. Through this discussion, we hope to explore the questions:
"How do we build cultures of care in the midst of a housing crisis?" and
"How do we build movements to address Toronto’s housing crisis?"
This panel seeks to create a space for voices in campus and community housing justice activism to share their insights, and reflect on these questions. This panel will launch a new action group with OPIRG York addressing anti-poverty; this is an opportunity to build collective capacity for working toward justice!
