Welcome to theatreCHS!

Parents, students, friends, and all:

HAPPY LABOR DAY! This past week was action packed, hopefully today offered everyone a chance to breath and have some downtime before it heats up again!

If you missed the first parent meeting, I’m hoping to have another one later this month. See below 👇 at bottom of email to review talking points of the school year including calendar of theatre related events.

This past week 3 different productions have started (Thats right) 3 ! So it is very likely that you have heard about auditions, after school rehearsals, tech Tuesday, CREW, and Improv.

If you have any questions about any of the above mentioned info, please feel free to give me a call or text: 434-218-8108

Throughout this newsletter to reduce content overload, use the links to visit canvas pages, or simply follow us on IG @theatreCHS also on facebook and twitter!

Have a great evening!

Happening This Week….

One-Act Casts Begin Rehearsals!

Congratulations to all 36 actors who have been cast in either VHSL One-Act or VTA One-Act plays for the 2022-23 School Year! It is exciting to get started, and abundantly clear that we have some incredibly strong levels of talent both on and off the stage!

Tomorrow we have our first meeting for the VHSL Cast “No Home, but Ropes and Stakes” from 4-6pm

We will also have our first CREW/Tech Tuesday event.

ALL students interested in being given a crew assignment, or even just helping with building phases for “The Book of Will”, or “No Home” are strongly encouraged to come out!

There will be an in house evening of One-Act performances on Oct 25 just before our VTA (Virginia Theatre Association) trip.

VHSL Contest is scheduled for the week of November 1-5

Improv Was AWESOME!!!

Congrats to Gian Serrano on creating a welcoming and inclusive donutfull space for everyone this past Friday! We will do it all again this coming Friday morning at 8AM
