50 years ago this month

September 28 marks the 50th anniversary of Paul Henderson’s incredible “goal of the century” against the Soviet Union.

For anyone unaware the 1972 Summit Series versus the Soviets became as much a Cold War political battle of democracy versus communism as it was about hockey. It had a lasting impact on hockey in Canada and abroad. Paul Henderson was the player who scored the “goal of the century” to give Canada a 6-5 victory in the eighth and final game of the series in Moscow.

To commemorate this iconic time in Canadian and world history, I have two original pieces both autographed by the man himself...
