| | News from the Town of Needham | | Good morning, Needham! Are you looking for the Needham results from Tuesday’s State Primary Election? You can visit the Town Clerk’s website to see how Needham voted. This upcoming weekend marks the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The Needham Fire Department and Needham Police Department will hold a September 11th Remembrance Ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial at the Public Safety Complex at 88 Chestnut Street on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at 9:30 am. The ceremony will include brief remarks from the Fire Chief, ringing of the bells for those lost in the World Trade Center Towers, and a moment of silence. The fire and police honor guards will be in attendance. The public is invited to attend and honor the lives we lost that day. | | Organizations Invited to Share Upcoming Events Using the Needham Community Calendar | As part of the Town’s website re-design earlier this year, we’ve added a Community Events calendar where Needham organizations can share their events widely with the community. The calendar can be used to promote educational, social, cultural or recreational events in Needham open to the general public sponsored by non-profit, civic, social, charitable, fraternal, or educational organizations. Calendar postings may announce one-time or special events or programs, not regularly scheduled activities (i.e., church services, exercise classes, etc.). No announcements may be posted that will promote a commercial interest or commercial cause or promote political or commercial events. | Submission Instructions: Click “Submit an Event” on the calendar section of the Town’s website. When the event submission box appears, choose “Community Events” in the Calendar field. Fill out the title, date & time, contact information, and additional details. Hit “Submit” when done.
All submitted events will be reviewed prior to being published on the online Community Calendar. We will do our best to post submitted events within 2-3 business days The Town reserves the right to decline event submissions The Town reserves the right to edit event information for length, spelling, language and clarity.
Please be sure to include contact information (a phone number and/or email) when submitting your event. |
