Dear All,

It seems a long time since an email has gone out to everyone in the benefice. I hope all is well. As we embark on Autumn, I thought it would be a good time to give an update as to some of the things that are happening around the benefice.

This Sunday (11^th) there is the annual Harvest Lunch in Easton on the Hill. This is a fantastic event and there might be a few tickets still available from the village shop or one of the Churchwardens. One of the features of the lunch is an auction. There will be some excellent donated pictures to bid for, and a raffle, but the main auction item is a week (off-peak) in a villa in the south of France. If you would like to bid for this but are not able to attend the lunch, we will be having the opportunity for people to make phone bids (as last year). A week on Friday (16^th) is the Laxton Church September concert. This will prove to be a fantastic evening of music, wonder and community. Please go to the church website for a link for tickets.

Services around the benefice continue and I would encourage everyone to have a look at the benefice website which shows all that is going on around the benefice. We are encouraging people to have a look at what is going on in different parts of the benefice and to consider attending services in different places.

There is currently an advert in the church times and diocese website for a replacement of Rev Philip. It is with hope and prayers that we approach this second time of advertising. We do know that this time it has generated more interest but do not know yet who may have applied for this role. The date set aside for interviews is the 14^th October.
