Care Connect WA Program is now available in Kitsap County!

The Care Connect WA program is now available in Kitsap County! The purpose of this free program is to support people who stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please feel free to share this program with clients, employees, family, and friends. No questions are asked about income or place of employment. The program is intended to serve all people while they are isolating/quarantining. I have attached an info pdf. Please reach out if there are any questions.
 

Who’s Eligible?

  • if a person has a positive test result from the doctor OR is sharing a household with someone with a positive test result (includes children) 
  • if a person is contacted because of a public health investigated outbreak
OR
  • a person with a positive home test can self-refer via the care connect hotline: 1-800-525-0127
The client must refer themself; a health worker cannot make the call for the client (the client must verbally consent for services to continue with the program). Health worker can assist by doing a 3-way call with client.
 
No questions asked about place of employment or income.
 

Services offered:

  • Food Box- to fulfill immediate need before fresh food can be delivered 
  • Fresh Food Delivery- 1 delivery of fresh food per household (will provide for whole household including cats & dogs) (10-day supply)  
  • Hygiene Kit- gloves, masks, thermometer, pain reliever, hand soap, hand sanitizer  
  • Financial Support- up to $1500 per household to help cover rent, mortgage, utilities
  • Social Service Referrals- medication delivery, clothing, arranging primary care/mental health services etc. 
  • Case Management- up to 21 days while in isolation or quarantine

Homeless service providers in Washington are eligible for up to $4,000 in economic relief

Applications open Sept. 29, 2022


Commerce is administering a limited program for eligible homeless service workers in Washington to receive a stipend of up to $4,000. Homeless service workers with an immediate economic need and income at or below 80% of the county area median income where they live may be eligible for a stipend up to $2,000.

A second stipend payment of up to $2,000 is also available for individuals who received an initial stipend payment and are still working for the same eligible organization six months after approval of the first stipend payment. Eligible homeless service providers work directly on-site with persons experiencing homelessness or residents of transitional or permanent supportive housing.
