UPCOMING EVENTS

Color Me Calm: Adult Coloring
Did you know that coloring is a healthy way to relieve stress? It calms the brain and helps your body relax. Every week, on Tuesdays (starting September 13th) at 4pm we will host an Adult Coloring meetup for all interested. The library will provide coloring books and colored pencils, as well as some light refreshments. You are also welcome to bring your own coloring materials.
Maker Monday
Our first Maker Monday is going to be held on Monday, September 19th at 3:30pm. Join us in our Makerspace area for some STEAM fun! Our first activity is going to be coding with Ozobots. Ozobots are desk-friendly coding robots that come with infinite ways to create, learn, and share. Kids will learn basic coding skills with these little robots.
Tai Chi
Experience meditation in motion with our Tai Chi class outside on the lawn next to the library on Saturday, September 10th, and Saturday, September 17th at 11:30am. All skill levels are welcome. We encourage you to wear comfortable clothes, bring a bottle of water, and bring a chair if you need to modify it. (This program is weather permitting and will be canceled if it rains.)
Decoupage Pumpkins
Join us for our first Fall Adult Craft! We're kicking off autumn with Decoupage Pumpkins on September 22nd at 4pm. The library will provide all materials and we will have enough for 12 people. This craft is first come, first served!
AMAZON SMILE CHARITY LIST
FPL now has an Amazon Smile Charity List! This is for those who would like to donate to the library by purchasing something specific rather than giving a monetary donation. The list features items that don't quite fit into our budget but that we think would greatly benefit our community to have. These could include toys and educational materials for the children's library, books, craft supplies, programming materials, and more.
