Former Governors’ Mansion to Host Halloween Open House and Story Time
BISMARCK, N.D. – The public is invited to Halloween programs at the Former Governors’ Mansion State Historic Site in Bismarck. The events are free and open to the public. All ages are welcome, but children under age 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Visitors to the Halloween Open House on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. will find the mansion decorated for Halloween and open for exploration of all levels, including the basement. Refreshments will be available, and candy will be distributed at the front door while supplies last.
Those attending Halloween Story Time on Sunday, Oct. 30, at 4 p.m. will enjoy a Halloween story and sweet treat.
The Former Governors’ Mansion, located at the corner of Fourth Street and Avenue B in Bismarck, is a state historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission is free. The Former Governors’ Mansion is open 1-5 p.m. the second combined Friday and Saturday of each month or by appointment. For more information, call 701.328.9528.
