We’re excited to see you all at Back to School Night later this evening starting at 5:00. Just head on into your child’s classroom and meet up with your teacher and the rest of your crew. Don’t forget that we’re running two back-to-back sessions in case you have scheduling conflicts, or need to hit more than one room for siblings. Later this month we’ll have our 1st Collaborative School Committee meeting of the year on September 20th before the PTA meeting. This month’s CSC meeting will focus on assessment results from spring 2022 testing and the recently released School Performance Framework. We will also discuss the nomination and voting process for the 22-23 school year. CSC meetings are open to all so we hope to see you there. Mark your calendars! We’re excited to announce that Family Nights are returning this year. Our first Family Night will be on Tuesday, September 27th. 5:30-7. Stay tuned for more details to follow.

News From the Library
The library has been busy over the past three weeks. Students in grades 2-5 have started to check out books and are learning how to find books that they like to read. Ask your child what they are reading or take a few minutes to read to them or have them read to you. It will not only give you some quality time but it will help develop a love of books and learning.
*Please help your student(s) remember to return their books on their library day.
What is Happening During Library/Technology?
Students in grades 2-5 are becoming familiar with the library and we are starting to dive into using our technology. Students in ECE-1st grade have been exploring our STEAM bins and listening to many stories. It has been fun getting to explore all the things that the Centennial library has to offer.

Hi families
There is a time change for the September 16th volunteer training. The volunteer training was scheduled at the same time as our Coffee Chat so I'm pushing it back to 10am so families can do both. Thank you to one of our amazing new parents for bringing this to my attention!
In case you don't know the coffee chat is on the Friday after PTA & CSC meetings. It gives families an opportunity to check in with Principal Laura or AP Emily and ask questions about what was covered in the meetings.
