Welcome back, Scouters

I hope you all have had a chance to re-charge your batteries, all ready for a new Scouting Year!

It’s always good to take a look at things from time to time to see how we can make improvements. To this effect, instead of having two great Deputy District Commissioners, we now have three. They are as follows:

Patrick Richardson
Mandy Brooker
Steve Rolt

Patrick will continue to have responsibility for the Scout Programme. This includes being the maintainer of the Scouting calendar for the District as well as retaining his beloved role as ADC Cubs.

Mandy’s role has changed. She will now concentrate her energies into Growth and Development across the District. Mandy is also responsible for Daventry & District’s Jamboree participants.

Steve has agreed to take on the responsibility for Group Scout Leader support. This covers all training requirements, of which he is an expert. He will not be going into Groups without GSLs. This responsibility still rests with me.

All safeguarding issues need to be sent to me also.

I hope you will all support the DDC’s in their roles.
