VALLEY YOUTH - YOUTH FEST
To celebrate Youth Month and the end of school holidays, Valley Youth are throwing a festival in Queen's Park!
Friday 30th September from 12pm to 4pm
Queens Park, Moonee Ponds (near the stage)
Planting Activity | Drag Performance | Ukulele Workshop |
Zine Making | Live Music | Food Trucks | Eco Glitter Station
The event is FREE!
Young people aged 12-25 will also get a token for free food and drinks if they take part in an activity. Limited tokens are available, so first in best dressed. Arrive early to ensure you don't miss out.

This is a fully supervised drug, alcohol, smoke and vaping free event, supported by the State Government as part of Victorian Youth Month.

VALLEY YOUTH - SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
School holidays are coming up from Monday 19th September to Friday 30th September. Valley Youth is offering a range of fun and cool activities for young people to enjoy. Our list of activities include:
MELBOURNE CITY MISSION - DETOUR & RECCONECT
Early intervention programs supporting young people at risk of or recently experiencing homelessness.
Detour works with young people 12-24 who are displaying risk factors that are known to potentially lead to homelessness. Detour offers support to stabilise current housing and/or explore other housing options.
Youth Coaches work with young people to create a plan that will assist them in achieving their goals. It is intensive, wrap-around, case management support with 3, 6 or 9 months support periods.
Referrals can be accepted from young people, family members, community agencies, schools, police, Centrelink. Cover the areas of CBD and Western Metro Melbourne.

Reconnect works with young people aged 12 - 18 to stabilise their living situation, achieve family reconciliation, and improve their level of engagement with work, education, training, and their local community.
The key is to engage the young person before the impacts to their life are too hard to come back from. Provides support for 3 months. Local government areas of Maribyrnong, Brimbank and Moonee Valley.
Referrals can be accepted from young people, family members, community agencies, schools, police, Centrelink, child first services and child protection services. Contact Duty Line PH: 9977 0023

MARIBYRNONG AND MOONEE VALLEY LOCAL LEARNING AND EMPLOYMENT NETWORK - YOUTH MENTORING CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM
Applications for the Youth Mentoring Career Pathways program are now open!
If you’re 16 – 24 years old, our mentors can provide career support and guidance and our work placements can give you on-the-job experience.
