We are 11 weeks away from the big carols weekend, 26 & 27 November. It's a yearly highlight for our church and a great opportunity for folks to get involved to help make the weekend a great success, share in the joy of the Christmas season and help those who are less privileged than we are.

Last Sunday we had such an amazing service. We saw the cutest Father's Day video made by Lizanne and the children from Kids Church. Cecile had orginised a washing line of hip printed socks as a special gift for our dads.
Two children prayed a prayer of blessing on the dads. All these things plus the fitting Sunday sermon made for a rich and meaningful Father's Day service.

We also heard back from 5 of our church folk (Nico, Christo, Luke, Retha & Amanda) who joined the recent Broome missions trip. What an inspiration to hear their testimonies! God has worked in them and through them.

This Sunday we will look at part 5 in our series on Malachi. The text this week will focus on Malachi 2:17-3:5. If you've ever felt frustrated about the increase of evil in the world, and perplexed how those who do evil seem to prosper and get away with it, then this week's message will hit home for you. God answers his people and shows them that He does see evil en will - IN HIS TIME - deal with all evildoers.
So many folks have commented how this small book in the Old Testament is BIG in its message and impact. If you missed any of the sermons, you can watch previous messages on our church YouTube channel;

We want to thank our tech and video team for ensuring the Sunday services are streamed on both FaceBook and YouTube. It makes a big difference for folks who could otherwise not attend church. I spoke today to an elderly couple who find it hard to get to church, but love watching online. Last Sunday I also receive a message from a family in Melbourne (who used to be in our church but moved away some years ago.) They often watch the Sunday services and said how blessed they were through last Sunday's sermon - it was just what they needed for encouragement in their parenting journey.

Be reminded of our special Sunday service planned for 18th September when Andre will be ministering in song and testimony. Consider inviting a friend along. Andre has a special gift to minister a message of love and grace from the Father's Heart of God.
Thank you to all those who have stepped forward to help with transport, airport collection and accommodation for Andre during his stay with us next week.

So save the date! The Carols weekend is on Saturday and Sunday, 26 & 27 November when our church will again put on Perth's best South African Food Fest as well as our new Christmas Markets.
