We're off to a great start!
The classrooms are buzzing with energy and excitement as the children get used to their new routines, teachers and friends!
A few friendly reminders about drop-off and pick-up now that parents and caregivers are coming inside the building (yay!). Classes start at either 9:15 or 9:30. Drop-off for all classes is at your child's door (please sign-in and say good-bye at the door). Pick-up is also inside at your child's door unless your teachers have shared an alternative outdoor location with you.

Join us for our first community building event of the year!
We hope you can attend SLC's Fall Fest on Saturday October 1st from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Highlights include a visit from the Evanston Fire Department, Bounce House, Joel Frankel Concert, games, crafts and treats! Tickets are on sale through the website!

Additional Programming at SLC!
We have several programs which are up and running, or will begin in October that we want our families to be aware of.
Early Care: drop your child off as early as 8:30, before they head to their classroom. This program is Up & Running. Register.
After Care: your child can stay after school, until 4:00 p.m. This program is Up & Running. Register.
Lunch & Learn (for Rainbow, Yellow, Red) runs from 12:00-1:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Included is time for lunch (brought from home), Enrichment class, and play time. This year's enrichment activities include dance(M), Spanish(T), Gym Games(W), and Music (TH). Pick one day or join them all! This program stafts in October. Register.
Toddler Time is an adult/child class for children 18-28 months. Join our wonderful teacher, Laura Butts, in the Green Room on Monday mornings from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Class includes time for free play, bike room, music with Jamberry (Emma), and a snack. This class starts in October. Register.
Little Explorers...children 24 months and older, who are ready to explore on their own for the first time, are invited toto join a fun-filled drop-off class. This class will meet on Fridays starting in October from 9:15-12:00 in the Red Room. Register

The Evanston Early Childhood Council (EECC) is looking for a few parent participants to join a ZOOM Focus Group discussion to help them plan for the future. Whether or not you are familiar with the EECC, participants will help them discuss the actions, processes, programs, efforts, of the EECC. If you are interested in joining the Focus Group (all participants will receive a $25.00 gift card), please reply to Rick Otto at rrotto@sbcglobal.net
There will be two Focus Groups--Sept 12 or Sept. 14th from 7:00-8:00 PM/CDT. In response, you will be sent a confirmation. If you would like more information about EECC, please check the website.
