Judge orders disclosure of performance narratives for two former Larimer County employees

A judge ordered Larimer County to publicly disclose the narrative portions of performance evaluations for two former employees of The Ranch, the county’s fairgrounds complex and events center.

A year after the legislature passed a law on police radio encryption, Denver-area news outlets are still blocked from listening

But a year after House Bill 21-1250 was signed into law, reporters still can’t tune into Denver and Aurora police radio transmissions like they did before both agencies blocked public access — Denver in 2019 and Aurora three years earlier. Although each department has a written policy on radio access, neither has reached an agreement with any Denver metro news organizations.

Colorado Politics: Colorado Public Radio filed a lawsuit against the Adams County coroner for refusing to release an amended autopsy of Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old Black man who died after being violently restrained by police and sedated in 2019.

Ballot images are published for election transparency

9NEWS: This is a pilot program. Weld has already posted images of ballots for the 2022 primary and the 2021 coordinated election. El Paso County will be posting the 2022 primary images by the end of next week. Mesa County is participating in the pilot program. Logan County will upload the November 2022 ballot images.
