Friday, ** September 16, 7 PM at the Hathaways
The First Friday Film Forum is an opportunity for movie goers to gather together and discuss a common film.
The host (a different volunteer each month) selects two movies for everyone to view at their own leisure and as their time allows.  Usually held on the first Friday of the month, anyone who wants to come will be welcome at the host's home for informal discussion, some snacks, and an opportunity to connect with others.
** The September forum will be held on the third Friday due to other conflicts. The first choice for the movie is Elvis which has been here awhile and seems to be staying. If that movie becomes unavailable, the second choice is Gigi and Nate. You are not required to see both movies. RSVP: Hathaways at (435) 654-4383.

For Our Community, Country and the World
We pray for Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH), our Bucket of Change recipient for September 2022.

We pray for our Afghan family and all our members involved with outreach alongside of Lutheran Family Services in their work with refugees. We pray for this special Afghan family, and all refugee & immigrant families here in Albuquerque, for jobs for adults and schools for children, wisdom to navigate the complexities of the English language, of American medical insurance, the path towards full citizenship, and health and healing from traumas they have experienced.

Father, you are the unfailing refuge of those who suffer—bring peace and comfort to the sick and the infirmed. Give all those who look after them knowledge, patience, and compassion. Inspire them with actions which will bring relief; words which will enlighten; and love which will bring comfort. We ask this through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
