🌹 🖥️  DSA Labor Branch Meeting 🖥️ 🌹

This is not a TWC event, but we encourage anyone in a union to attend if possible!

Join the DSA Labor Branch for their September Branch meeting at the new DSA office! We will be coming together to grow our socialist labor organizing toolbox with a Labor Notes style training on rank and file preparation for a contract fight. Labor branch members will also have the opportunity to discuss and launch industry sections to cohere and organize our work going forward!

Join us! We will be meeting in person with a remote option available. Masks recommended, vaccination required.

Feel free to invite coworkers from your unionized workspace whether you’ve had a union for decades or months!

🌹 🖥️  No Tech For Apartheid #DayOfAction 🖥️ 🌹

This upcoming Thursday, TOMORROW, Sept 8th 5:30PM ET
@ The NYC Google Office

For over a year, Amazon and Google workers and a coalition of 40+ grassroots organizations have been organizing to end both companies’ contracts with the Israeli military and apartheid government. The message is clear: tech workers do not want to build technology used to surveil, oppress, or commit other forms of violence against Palestinians.

On September 8th, 2022, Amazon and Google tech workers will lead direct actions in front of their offices in Seattle, San Francisco, and New York City to escalate the pressure and demand #NoTechForApartheid!

Join tech workers and activists fighting for Palestinian freedom!

Kickstarter United Oral History LIVE!
Thurs Sept 15th @ Bowery Electric

You've listened to the podcast, and now it's time to meet the workers who pulled this off and won a contract.

Join workers who voiced the Kickstarter Union Oral History Podcast, along with the Tech Workers Coalition, and the Engelberg Center on Innovation Law & Policy for a special panel discussion centered on Kickstarter United's first contract. We'll talk about what's happened since the last episode of the
podcast, what workers demanded in a contract, how they built consensus, and how the terms of this contract will ripple through the tech industry.

The TWC Code of Conduct is in effect for all TWC NYC meetings.

Finally, if you want to stay in touch with your fellow tech workers outside of meetings or emails, join us on the Slack team at #local-nyc and follow us on twitter!

If you have any questions or requests regarding accessibility or childcare, or for any other reason, please reach out to us (via this email) and we will do our best to address them!

Nervous about attending your first meeting? Read our
onboarding doc!
