Elaine Ávila was awarded a Massey Theatre Performing Arts Collaborative Creation Residency, to develop her Fulbright/ BCAC Grant play about Azorean Capes as a solo piece with dramaturge and director Kate Weiss and director Thrasso Petras: «It is so great to be performing again and to be working with capes from the University of the Azores, Manuel Azevedo and designer Joana Ávila. Sarah Philo, Fulbright US research student of Public Health, was the representative from Portugal at the 2022 EU-US Young Leaders Seminar on the Future of Democracy, organized by our colleagues of the Fulbright Commission in Belgium and Luxembourg, which gathered in Brussels 25 current American Fulbrighters and 25 European alumni of EU-funded exchange programs, from 27 to 29 April 2022.
