News and Updates

A message from our Managing Director

What I really missed the most when I transitioned from leading large teams to buiilding my own business was celebrating success with my team.  I am so very happy to be once again  working alongside some amazing people!

This is a timely reminder for me of the importance for organisations to have contemporary Reward & Recognition Programs in place to recognise great work (and commitment) and to be considered an employer of choice (whether in title or practice)!

Whether it is the Great Resignation or simply a case of ensuring you are recognising and rewarding your talent as a retention strategy, The BelRose Group can assist your organisation to develop a fit for purpose and meaningful Reward & Recognition Program.

Names to faces of our amazing team celebrating together!

Introducing Sarah Gray
"I started off my working life as an Elf (yes, you read that right... pointy hat, elf shoes, Santa Clause and all!).

I live and breathe to help people, always have! From my days as an elf, to hosting McDonald's parties, and every role since, interacting with people is my happy place, the place I thrive in best. It made complete sense that my work life involves people interaction in some way, shape or form, I just wouldn't have it any other way and that's why I work in People & Culture.

Most of my working life was spent in a large State Owned Organisation and my goodness I covered some ground, from finance to office management, event organisation, process improvement, recruitment to risk management, and so many other things along the way!  I truly loved every minute of it and made many lifelong friends.

I then decided it was time to spread my wings, and try something a little different in the big wide world, so I dabbled a little in recruitment.  Talent aquisition in the hospitality and trade space taught me so much about the dynamic of Tasmania's workforce, and I met many wonderful characters, both colleagues and candidates, along the way!

An amazing opportunity arose, and I decided it was time to branch out even further and took a People and Culture Advisor role in an aged care not for profit organisation. Never had I thought I would love aged care as much as I did, it was a whole new industry to me, filled with complexity I could have never imagined. My time in aged care was such an intregal part of my working life and under the leadership of our fierce leader - yep - Bel Beltz.  I learnt so much from Bel and working in aged care (both professionally and personally).

Not long after Bel left aged care I moved into a People & Culture Advisor role at Department of Fire, Police and Emergency Management, introducing me to the great wide world of the Tasmanian State Service.  My 12 months in this role was fascinating! and I learnt so much about the unique inner workings of government.  In my portfolio I was lucky enough to have a behind the scenes look at our emergency services crews and the truly amazing people that keep our city ticking along.

Now, here I am nearly 4 months into  my role as People & Culture Guru role with The BelRose Group and I only hope I can live upto my title!  I have already met and worked with some of our wonderful clients and am so excited to be part of this dynamic boutique team that makes up The BelRose Group.

Having my twins start Kinder this year, my eldest in grade 4 and my husband running a small building business, life can be more than a little hectic. I feel so lucky to have such a flexible work environment, giving me the chance to work from home and be there for the important moments in my family's life. The juggle between work and family life is always a tricky one, and the Mum guilt is real, but my gosh do I feel like I'm on the right track!

I can't wait to meet and work with each and every one of you, and to see what weird and wonderful things this role throws at me, it's going to be quite the ride!"
The BelRose Group has a physical presence in the Northern Territory and Tasmania
